Cradle of the Daquiri

Day 4 found us in Cuba's capital Havana. There are so many amazing pictures from this city and I had to pick just one (for the rest visit me on Facebook).

Havana is such an intense, loud, crazy, friendly, overwhelming place, and our first half an hour left us utterly bamboozled. Thankfully our friendly tour guide had pointed out the El Floridita - one of Hemingways's favourite bars when he lived here. He is also credited with inventing the Daquiri here - hence the bars slogan 'Cradle of the Daquiri'.

It could have been slushy sugar water and it would have tasted amazing!
