Worse before better

The outside of the Appleton Tower looks brutalist - all stripped back for renovation. I wonder if it will be swanky and shiny afterwards.

On my way there at the end of the working day for a roundtable about the crisis in Syria. Earlier it was one of our usual Tuesdays, with the normal lunch (although our food delivery was messed up) and an interesting visitor. Various projects continue to build.
