Mauerblümchen II

Proper autumn day and I decided to be a fair-weather cyclist - at least until my new set of lights arrives.

Getting annoyed at Tory utterances again: so Jeremy Hunt suggests that reducing the amount benefits is an important cultural signal (it might well be but not the kind I would like to see) that our work ethics should be more like the Americans' or Chinese. I don't see how I could work more (I suppose I could have less holidays) but then I guess I wasn't meant to be targeted. Still, the school were he was educated charges about £32k per annum which is more than I earn after taxes have been dealt with. Anyway, what good is it if we work harder, it just means that there will be more people without a job. One issue of our world is that there are not enough jobs around to keep everyone usefully employed. I still want to write about all this stuff but cannot find the time and it is still fermenting.

One bonus of not cycling is that I have more time for details on the way to work.
