Carew Castle

After a wet start the sun returned to provide a remarkably warm and sunny day.    In the afternoon we visited Carew Castle, nr Tenby.  It was built in the 11th century by the Normans and became an Elizabethan Country House in the late 16th century - later abandoned in 1686.

In 1983 the National Park Authority took control and opened it to the public.
