Sintra tour
Today we went on a guided tour of Sintra. We went to the Pena palace, once the summer house of the then royal family. It was so foggy you couldn't take any photos, but it did give the place a rather Grimm fairytale feel.
Next we went to Capo da Rocha, which is the most westerly point of continental Europe. Blimey it was so windy we had to make sure we didn't get blown off the cliff edge! We headed back to Lisbon via Cascais and Estoril where the rich and famous have their summer houses.
In the evening we went to a very non-touristy restaurant. Very old and tired looking inside, but we had the most fabulous freshly cooked fish dishes and the waiter was in his element practicing his Dirk Bogarde impressions on us!
