Koru

The koru (Māori for "loop") is a spiral shape based on the shape of a new unfurling silver fern frond and symbolizing new life, growth, strength and peace.


I'm hoping that it's timely for me to blip something showing new life! Scaffolding is being erected at my house now, in preparation for significant work to be done on the roof, which is to be followed by all new cladding and windows, plus much to be done to the interior. Here's hoping that now work has resumed, after a gap of 6 months, that it'll be finished this time (probably not till February '16).


This is my entry for Tiny Tuesday, hosted by jensphotos. This entry won't be as 'tiny' as some, but I'm putting it in because I really love seeing the new little korus unfurling.
