Chester

Drizzly start to the day, so difficult decision where to go. Decided on Chester as there was a bit of shopping needed doing (both daughter's birthdays in the next fortnight, really bad planning!) plus there were plenty of places to walk if the weather improved. Failing that, there's always Starbucks.
Anyway, the rain stopped for a while and I was able to get along the river. The picture is from the bridge looking back across the weir. Its lovely to see the autumnal colours in the trees.
Had originally wanted to do the mono monday challenge, theme of Fun, but really liked this photo, so have put it in as the extra. Hope this is allowed. Its a Roman Centurian training his new recruits, who by the singing and laughter, seemed to be having huge fun!
