The Red House at Dawn

Well I call it the Red House as do a lot of others.  

Its probably more popularly known as the Blue House - fair enough the windows are blue and there are some blue bricks.

Even more refer to it as the Doll's House for obvious reasons.  The owner modelled it on his daughter's toy house  She was born in 1904 and her name was Juanita.  Sadly she was  an invalid suffering from tuberculosis, The family had moved to Argentina but on the advice of doctors returned to Lanzarote believing that the sea air here would assist her recovery.

Sadly, Juanita died in 1921.  (Sorry should have warned you this didn't have a happy ending!)   So this picture is for Juanita.
