House Of Fun

Alcester's historic Mop fair is being set up today. It will be on for a couple of nights and then move to the next town.
Hundreds of years ago workers would stand with the tools of their trade hoping to find work. A maid would carry a mop, hence the name.
Nowadays it's a funfair. It's noisy chaotic loud smelly and huge fun for the Town's youngsters. It didn't look a lot of fun this afternoon as they were setting up in the rain!
