They're a Blue Do

It's never too late for a Grandmother to suck eggs, especially if the eggs are naturally a pale blue. I must have had a sheltered life because the only coloured eggs I have seen have been brown ones or dyed eggs at Easter.

This box of Old Cotswold Leghorn eggs was given by a neighbour who couldn't manage to eat them before the expiry of their 'best by' date tomorrow. I have no qualms about eating things past the date recommended, and so far I have lived to tell the tale.

With a murky morning and rain forecast, His Lordship and I did an early route march up to Bruntsfield to make a nurse appointment at our medical practice for a spot of blood letting for my annual cholesterol test. The earliest date I could get was the middle of the month, giving me a chance for some really healthy eating before then.
No more wine and nibbles on the patio in the sun, that delight will be gone, helped by the absence of sun and advent of chilly autumn weather.
