As summer fades.........
After the disappointment of yesterday's weather, today has been lovely again!!! :-)
A quick walk for the Sunday papers, whilst Sunday lunch was cooking, rather early!
Hub cut the back lawn and I took a few shots around the garden. It's clear that the majority of flowers are now fading.....rain tomorrow, or so they say!
Once the chicken had roasted and I'd made the gravy, we put everything we needed into the car, and drove over to mums for the day. She was going to come to our house, but it's becoming more of a challenge for her these days.....she's more relaxed and happiest at home.
When we got there, mum was in her next door neighbours house, helping him with his chores as he has just had a knee replacement. This, despite her hobbling, due to a bout of sciatica! She took some painkillers and after an hour or so, she seemed to be moving better. We had a light lunch which went down well and spent a nice hour sat outside drinking tea, planting up 3 trays of pansies that mum had bought a week or so ago........before I went indoors to finish off dinner......Roast chicken dinner for four (me, hub, mum and her next door neighbour ;-) and not a scrap left :-)
We stayed with mum and watched the X Factor, and just as we were leaving, one of the three foxes that she feeds every night, was stood just in the shadows, across the field, opposite mums house.....sadly I'd already packed up my camera in the boot of the car :-(
Hence you have another Japanese anemone, this time, one of our pink ones :-/
