Gardening injury

Mr F is building a trellis and arch over a gate we have, but it got off to a bad start when he turned his back on a post which then leapt away from the fence it was leaning against, and viciously whacked him on top of his head.
I applied a dressing, managed to stop the bleeding and he had to lie down on the sofa for the rest of the afternoon.
