The rains came down and the floods came up

Right where I live, we are fairing well but at the beaches and downtown there are flooded areas with roads that are therefore closed.  60 to 200 miles from us, in South Carolina, they have been hit much, much worse.  It is being called a thousand year flood crisis.  Not a good situation.

We still have power but wind is picking up so I have my fingers crossed.

With some branches coming down etc, I will not even venture out into the yard, so all you get today are shots out the front and back windows!  :-)

Have been spending the weekend watching all sessions of General Conference of Church as broadcast from Salt Lake City.  It brings a nice soothing calm to this stormy weather. 

Have just added three extras of our not so little creek which is running fast and over flowing.  Hwy I40 into town is flooded as is the intersection for going over the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.  We are becoming an isolated island due to flooding.
