Glasgow City Chambers

What a day!  The Great Scottish Run ..... wheelchair race, 10K race, 1/2 marathon .... roads closed .... diversions and for those of us who live on the south side of Glasgow and need to get to church in the city centre travelling was trickier than usual.  The buzz down in George Square was tremendous as runners gathered in thousands to take part in their various races.  

I watched the start of the wheelchair race and the first wave of 10K runners before I headed up the road to church.  I caught a brief glimpse of Paula Radcliffe who was starting the races .... had I been on the other side of the road I would have had a better view.

Back into town for church again tonight and a walk through George Square ..... everything had been dismantled it was as if the races had never been.  The City Chambers looked quite impressive in the dark.
Time now for a cup of tea and an episode of Downton!
