First Lighthouse

We got up at 03:15 to drive to Birmingham airport,  so not the most inspiring start, but our reward was to have arrived in Minorca, collected the hire car and driven to our hotel at the other end of the island by ~12:30.  a quick walk down to the coast at Cala en Bosch and we saw our first lighthouse of the week ... they became something of a theme of the week.

We were quite tired so Gill suggested a 'lounge about' by the hotel pool.  Anyone who knows either of us will be laughing at this point .... I did manage to put a towel on a sun lounger, go once across the pool and back, and then lie on the lounger for all of 10 minutes before boredom set in :-)

This photo gives a reasonable idea of what a lot of the coast of Minorca is like,  hard sharp rocks, hence the number of light houses.
