La Llagonne
This morning we left our hotel in Vernet-les-Bains and made our way up the mountain road to Mont-Louis.
On the way we went through the mountain village of Fetges where Charles Rennie Mackintosh created 4 wonderful landscape watercolours. His painting of Fetges in 1927 is one of my favourites.
After walking round the town of Mont-Louis and taking in the location of two of his mountain landscapes, we drove over to the village of La Llagonne.
In and around La Llagonne Mackintosh created three watercolour paintings.
This is my take on the landscape of La Llagonne, with the mountains and the wonderful clouds.
