A late comma

Today has been beautifully sunny, and I made the most of it by going for a walk on Llynclys Common.

The colours have really become autumnal and looked lovely in the sun. I was pleased to see this Comma butterfly on the Devil's Bit Scabious flowers, it looked in good condition too.

I saw a wild autumn crocus and plenty of fungi but the butterfly won.
