Blipping a Blipper

Early rise for me today as I had to travel by coach to London. Coach to London was delayed by 1 hr. We were still in Warwickshire one hour after the coach left due to an accident in M40. What was supposed to be an 11am arrival at London became 12nn. I got to the front of Buckingham Palace at around 1215 and got to meet my fellow Pinay Blipper around 1230 who came all the way from the Netherlands. The first meeting seemed like two old friends meeting again for the first time after years of being apart. It was fantastic!

We immediately had lunch at a nice cafe in the middle of St James's Park (sausage and mashed potato was surprisingly good!) and then we both walked the stretch of St James's Park, Green Park, Wellington Arch, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens until we reached our destination, Kensington Palace. It was a good one hour (or so) long walk with a few chats here and there and of course taking lots of snaps of squirrels and swans.

At Kensington Palace, I saw yet another statue of Queen Victoria looking magnificent as always in front of the Palace. However, unlike all the other statues of her, that one was a younger, leaner version of her. The pond in front of Kensington Palace while glittering under the warm rays of the sun was i think looking very magical for me. Not to mention the many pigeons flying about and the swans and geese happily receiving bread from people wanting to get closer to them.

We had a 5-min coffee break at Kensington Palace  before hurrying back to the coach station. I could have missed my 1700 coach if it was not delayed. I arrived there at 1708 but the coach that we are going to use has not yet arrived due to further accidents. The coach did not leave until after an hour of its advertised departure time.

This blip entry is of my fellow Pinay Blipper Ellaphant in front of the Wellington Arch. This would be the perfect entry for my very first blip meet. Blipping a blipper blipping : Achievement unlocked!
