My pal Huddy decreasing the value of his book by scribbling a personal message to the Kipper on the half title page. 

That he arrived with a bottle of Boodles in his back pocket was more than enough.  Although, it didn't actually last that long.  Someone knocked it over!  (They didn't?  Well, where did it go, then?)
