Church of the Good Shepherd

I usually drive straight through Tekapo but today I detoured to view the Church of the Good Shepherd, situated above the shores of Lake Tekapo.

I arrived as rain did, though the light in the photo suggests otherwise. It was blowing a cold westerly gale too. My stop was brief but long enough to catch these two friends.

A few kilometres down the road and I was in clear skies with less wind. Typical spring conditions in the Mckenzie. The good thing of driving down late afternoon on Thursday is I'll have two full days away.
