The House Sparrow
Or, in my case, the Office Sparrow.
This is, as I'm sure you are all aware (as they are as common as muck), the most widely distributed wild bird in the world.
It was introduced to Australia, via Melbourne, in 1863 and quickly spread along the eastern coast.
In Western Australia, aka the Wild Wild West, where they like to do things their own way, each House Sparrow found is KILLED!
Yes - KILLED!
They're a rough and mean-hearted bunch over there. No mamby-pamby cock robin tales for them. No - let's kill 'em all!
