Well, today I killed and cooked two lobsters. Very much my first time. I think I've only tasted it once before. I found it quite emotional, actually. Other than fish, it's the first time I've killed my own food (though I have been party to a langoustine massacre). Froze them first, which is supposedly the humane option, but I'm not sure if it's true.

They were caught by a local fisherman, called Baden (I think), whose family had apparently been in the area for 450 years.

He also gave us a free (cooked) crab yesterday, which made for a tasty starter.

Today was a trip to Crovie and Gardenstown, and strolling around Pennan, while the others went on a wee boat trip.
