This afternoon we visited an extended family in one of the refugee camps. It was probably one of the saddest afternoons I've had here. I'm overwhelmed. We met a lot of people all of whom wanted to talk about the atrocities which had, and still are taking place at the hands of the terrorist group which tried to wipe them out last year..

We sat with 2 ladies who had been freed a few months ago. Tmw they're being taken to Europe for specialised help. There were 2 beautiful little girls playing in the tent whose father had been killed and they and their mother taken into captivity. Their family had paid for their release. The mother cooked us this amazing dinner.

One lady there was taken with her 5 daughters and son and her husband was killed. 4 are still in captivity- "2 of them are the same age as your 2  daughters ", she said, pointing at L and R, "I can't sleep at night worrying about them.' What could I say other than cry with her and promise I would pray.
