The Old Vicarage
I had lunch today at The Old Vicarage, celebrating a friend's birthday. The garden was in winter mode, we often sit out under the red umbrellas, but too windy today. We enjoyed the ambience inside the old house, with its replica dark wood panelling.
Originally built in 1898 as a vicarage, it was converted into a cafe and restaurant in 2004. With many inner city restaurants not operating because of earthquake damage, The Old Vicarage is often very busy.
