Movie night

The boy child and I headed off to the long-awaited opening of The Martian this evening - long-awaited because we both read the book over a year ago and have been longing to see the movie version ever since.

And, thankfully,  it lived up to our (very high) expectations. 

We both loved the book, and the movie more than did it justice. Great fun, very smart, and well worth two-and-a-half hours in the criminally uncomfortable seats in the Odeon, Belfast. Highly recommended, if you're at a loose end this weekend.
