Beautiful day here....

It has been a beautiful day here today, sunny and blue skies.
Ella, Lottie and I went off early( well 9am, early for us!) to try to catch up with my nephew Jack (15) , who is down here with his Athletics club for the weekend.
They were running relays in a big race from Christchurch to Akaroa. I had been told he was starting his section over at Governers Bay so we went off and amongst runners, supporters and traffic  we found him! He was looking good, told me his run would be starting over near the main Akaroa highway to Little River. He was lucky he didn't get the Gebbies Pass hill to run!
Anyway , after having a quick chat to him we left him to it. We don't get to see him much now as he lives in Auckland, ...( pic of him in my extras)
On the way home we stopped at Cass Bay to give Lottie a 'wee' break. It was the longest car trip that she has been on so far. All good, she sat on Ellas' knee happily.
