The midsummer night

This photo is taken quarter to midnight at Mallasvesi lake in Finland - there was about 10 million mosquitos with me at the beach too, as I took this photo...

In Finland we celebrate the midsummer - during the night and day - the party is called Juhannus in finnish. We eat (and some of us drink too;)) properly and enjoy each others company. We have sure reason to celebrate, as tonight is the lightest night of the whole year. In northern Finland the sun is actually shining all night long!

Sometimes the summer is already wery warm in the midsummer, but often it only is getting warmer at this time. This is one of the years as the weather at midsummer is quite cool: There is only 11c degrees warm now at the beach... The day before was nice and warm and we were even sunbathing at the beach.

But beautiful shot, do you think?
