Spot the Mistook

After a sleep in, I did a few essential coaching jobs and then we headed into town and to Run and Become. I have an injured toe and needed a new pair of running shoes which offered more cushioning that the minimal shoes I prefer. Although internet shopping cannot be beaten for price, I received exceptional service, trying on 6 pairs of shoes and having the skilled member of staff eyeball my technique whilst running along a street in the city’s west end. The ideal pair were £25 over budget but I was given a discount and a money off voucher for my next visit.

Crossing the road, we went into Sodenberg the Swedish bakery and purchased a couple of cardamom buns. The first time I tried these delightful buns wasn't entirely positive as they are very different to a Scottish bakery offering. However, after the initial assault on my palate, I now love them.

We had lunch at the Henderson’s veggie café which was yummy and then had a wander through Princes Street Gardens, with Rosemary spotting an error in the world famous flower clock. See if you can spot it.

Her legs were really shot after Saturday’s race so we them jumped on a tram to Broughton Street so that I could buy coffee from Artisan Roast. Of course it would have been rude only to buy beans so I had an amazing flat white and Rosemary had a rose and pepper hot chocolate (surprisingly good). Then it was off to to Real Foods for a few provisions and the bus back home.

After our cardamom buns and tea, we heading back into town for my train back to Manchester.
