Kakanui

It's 10.30 pm and time for bed, but we're viewing images from another outing we have enjoyed earlier in the year.  

This was taken just south of Oamaru and before reaching  Kakanui, beautiful cliff top road, looking down on the beaches.  Blimming  gorgeous.  morning stop here.  Lunch stop at Lake Waihola, beautiful spot.

From there we went to The Catlins, and drove up the Catlin Valley Rd, took a wrong turning at the top and drove far too south, then had to travel back north to Gore.  Had to contend with a howling nor wester too.   Oops..... arrived an hour and half later than we had intended.  Didn't matter though, went and registered then found our motel which is lovely.  Time for some food and drinks then off to the opening, showing of images and Scott Fowler who is a master of black and whites.  

We are off at 6 am to go up a local hill to get a sunshine weather permitting.   Then a full day follows.
