Strand Arcade

I have just shown you glimpses of two other 1890s Sydney buildings. Here is another. This is the beautifully restored Strand Arcade not far down from Martin Place, running between George and Pitt Streets. It is not dissimilar to the QVB in style but is somewhat smaller and more intimate. I hope it is always treasured like this. I'd hate to see it ploughed under by some mindless, greedy developer ... although (to the best of my knowledge) it has never really been threatened like the QVB was.
