Friday rain

9.30am, Kirkcaldy Golf Club.

It rained most of Thursday, and most of the night - enough to wake me at 1.30am. It had stopped raining by breakfast time, to be replaced with this low cloud.

I was at the golf club to help as a volunteer for a charity golf tournament being run by the other Rotary club in town (not my one).

Their event had to be cancelled/postponed. The course was a swamp, and was closed.

Shame for the Rotarians - lots of work goes into setting up these things. Shame for the charity - no money raised. Shame for the golf club - expecting lots of income from lunches, drinks & green fees.

Had a coffee & gossip with those who'd turned up, and then had to go to work.
