So near, and yet so far...

...the sea. Tantalising and further way than it looks here - across some waste ground, over the railway track and below the cliffs! Unfortunately, too far go to be able to walk beside the sea in my lunch break. (It would be nice to walk on the coastal path, just beyond the railway track, but it seems there's no safe point nearby to cross the line.)

Walked around the industrial estate business park a couple of times at lunchtime to stretch my legs,  enjoy some sunshine and, at least, get a bit of a sea view. Much as I like my job, when the weather's so  fantastic I really resent being stuck in the office all day. Though it won't seem nearly so bad soon when it's cold and grey outside!

Home to meet with the plumber/gas engineer. It seems that work will probably start on our central-heating system and bathroom in about 10 days' time - exciting and scary in equal measures! A trip to Berwick at the weekend to choose tiles and flooring methinks!
