Yesterday as the aircraft was approaching the Scottish coastline there was what appeared to be beautiful white sandy beaches along the coast. As we got closer this turned out to be coastal mist.

Today from the ground it was possible to see the mist over the coast, even though the sky above was blue.

Despite the blue sky the temperature felt a lot cooler than that we have got used to, even if the temperature was not as high the last few days as we might have liked.
