Left University of Illinois this morning. This was the view outside my window on the Amtrak train as I sat for nearly two hours on the tracks in Chicago... a few miles from Union Station (the destination). Needless to say, I was a bit crabby because of the delay (and being oh so close!). A two hour train trip ended up being nearly six. Then I waited an hour at Union Station before catching the Metra to Kyle's -- which was another hour away (did I mention I missed two Metra departures because of the Amtrak delay?). Did manage to read a good chunk of my book, though! :)
