Low Tide
Yesterday hubbie, Ethan & I drove down to Haggerston Castle for a 4 night break there. Also joining us were Granny & Grandpa, and Ethan's godmother, Paula, plus her two boys, parents and sister! It's the first time any of my family have stayed at a caravan site but we thought we'd give it a go!
The caravan is fine although the bedrooms are teeny tiny! Ethan seems quite excited to be here though! He slept in a room by himself last night and apart from waking up crying when he fell out of bed, he did well!
This morning we took the 3 boys to a messy play session where they made paper hats. The 2 families did their own thing after that until after lunch, when Paula, her sister and I took the 3 boys swimming. After dinner, we met up again to take them to the kids show. Ethan still has a very short attention span for things like that though and didn't sit still for long, before deciding he'd rather run round and round the room instead.
Once he was in bed, hubbie and I left Granny and Grandpa in charge while we went for a drive. We went to the beach at Cheswick Sands which was gorgeous and had a really nice wander there. We also took a quick drive in the opposite direction and drove over the causeway to Holy Island but didn't stay too long in case we got cut off by the tides! The plan is to go back tomorrow to visit it properly.
