The North Inches

On an away day in Perth with our ceilidh dancers. We arrived in Perth at noon and had free time until 4pm when a meal was arranged for us at the ex-Servicemens' Club. Six of us went along the North Inches and had a really nice walk of six miles, before going back for our meal. The meal was good plain fare, either steak pie or fish and chips, great value too. Then we had a wee dance before heading home.

The forecast had been formidable, and we went prepared for heavy rain, but it was dry and at times sunny. There was lots of evidence of heavy rain earlier in the week though, and the golf course on the North Inch was flooded in many places, as in my picture. Rather nice in large.
