Tribute

Mary Stevens Park exists thanks to the generosity of Ernest Stevens, a wealthy pots and pans manufacturer who was born in nearby Lye in 1867. 
His marriage was cut short in 1925 when his wife, Mary died.  Mary devoted her life to helping disadvantaged women and children, he made several large donations to the town of Stourbridge and surrounding towns to continue her work.
