when blue is green
...it has, admittedly, been a little on the windy side today. Very windy, in fact, but it has also been warm, sunny and dry. Sorry, to the many of you for whom this has not been the case!
Anyway, I was [almost] determined not to post another insect blip today, which is kind of strange considering that we set off for Arne RSPB reserve again this afternoon, with the express intention of capturing more images for my Dragonfly collection!
Consequently, my determination failed and you are looking at yet another of these rather beautiful creatures. This is a female Blue Emperor Dragonfly Anax imperator - the females are green rather than blue. She settled so nicely and her wings were so transparent that I just had to choose her over any of the other shots of the day...
