Lake Victoris

There were a number of model yachts on Lake Victoria this lunch hour. There are two lakes in the centre of Hagley Park. Lake Victoria is the larger named after Queen Victoria, the monarch of the day in 1850 when Christchurch was founded.
The smaller of the two is Lake Albert named after Prince Albert, Victoria 's husband.
