Larry the very sleepy caterpillar

We found Larry hanging onto the front door and decided to rehome him somewhere a bit safer.

He's taken well to his new home in a cookie jar.  Apparently he's (she's?) a Pale Tussock Moth caterpillar, and it's about this time of year that they start to pupate.  He was hard at building his silk-spit tent from before breakfast today and carried on until tea time, now being settled down inside it, possibly until next spring!
