Paint, oil and stainless steel
It has been a while since I have reported on the building of Polly. First coats of paint and oil, not varnish, make her really come alive. The stainless steel objects are "chain plates" which are securely fitted through the hull and provide a firm anchorage for the "shrouds" or wires which will help hold the mast up.
