contour drawings

I have signed up to a beginner's art & drawing class and today was my first session. I was quite apprehensive and worried I'd be totally useless, but it was actually good fun and the time wizzed by.
We had three exercises in contour drawing to do - the bird and the chef we had to draw upside down copying the original images and it was interesting to see how close they were to the original once we turned them the right way round. Trying to copy the drawing of the lady was much harder and took a lot of concentration. I'm looking forward to next week's class now!
