Day 2 - Bolivian Salt Flats

Today we experienced real 4 wheel driving through the desert. The salt flats changed from white to red sand and barren land. It was extremely bumpy and rough, but fun! We made several stops along the day at rocks, mountains and 4 desert lakes. We would be driving along with red dust all around us and out of nowhere appears a royal blue lake covered in pink flamingos...such an amazing sight! The weather was freezing and very windy which made the photo sessions very short. We slept in a family home tonight in the middle of absolute nowhere. They only had electricity from 7-9pm, which meant no heating, resulting in us being in bed at 8pm underneath 1000 blankets and sleeping bags.
