Mini gardens....
Proving that you don't need vast acres of Cheshire, or even a suburban plot behind a semi detached, to create a garden, I came across these. On busy Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton, tiny gardens have been created on the tiny patches or bare earth around the street trees that line the road.
In spite of them being on a busy road with masses of traffic and pedestrians they are respected and looked after. I've walked past them many times and wondered who had planted them and who looks after them. Well the mystery was solved when I came across an elderly gentleman who was watering them (extra picture). He told me that when the summer flowers are finished crocuses will be planted for the spring.
