One Thousand

I could not have imagined when I uploaded my first photo onto Blipfoto that I would still be here 1000 images and nearly 3 years later.

Blip reminded me three days ago that I was almost at 1000 shots so I spent some time at the weekend looking back over the events I have recorded, some marriages, some births, regrettably a few deaths, holidays, exhibitions, nights out, nights in, and all kinds of quirky things I have seen along the way.


For me it is a remarkable record of my life over the last years, enriched by the comments on blip from people I have never met, but with whom I now have an ongoing time to time dialogue, and from comments on Facebook from people I do know.

There was a wobbly moment at the start of this year when I though Blip would disappear and maybe I would stop, but it all recovered and I am still here.

I can also see how my images are changing over the years, sometimes better, sometimes worse but it is so interesting and rewarding to be able to look back and be reminded of what I have done and what has happened in my life while I was making these photographs
