House Work . . .

Decided that I could stand the dust no longer and set about the bathroom windowsill where things tend to gather, and gather dust while they are there! Amongst them is an old china trifle bowl full of shells. I tip ped them gently into a basin of warm water and lo, there they were, all colourful and bright again! Gone was that patina of dust that dulls our lives!

As well as shells there are bits of sea glass, an old glass bottle stopper, broken shards of pottery, tiny bones and interesting pebbles. There is a beautifully worn and bleached crab claw too - the colour is wonderful. I will have to blip it separately one day. This is a beach collection though and only shore and sea finds are allowed!

I have a windowsill for terrestrial finds!
