New Floor! Day 1 - Prep Day

Today I am finally having my new floor laid. Well, not actually today but tomorrow. Today is prep day. I was told it would take a couple of hours but it took all day, partly because the guy was working on his own and partly because the old original floor (which had been covered up for many years) was stuck down REALLY well!  

Once the old floor (and the tiled floor in the utility room) were removed, a green 'goopy' base coat went on and then the latex was poured. It glistened while it was wet and dried to a hard dull chalky-like surface.

Since we couldn't walk on it for several hours after the latex was poured, tonight was once again Pizza night!
