Super Moon Lunar Eclipse
After a very hectic weekend away (blips will follow) with some late nights I still managed to wake myself up without the aid of an alarm at 2.20am to see the total lunar eclipse of the super moon. I was delighted to see that the clear skies when I went to bed were still there and the shadow of the earth was clearly visible passing over the moon (see extra).
I watched as the shadow covered the moon and the blood colour became increasingly apparent. I have chosen this picture as it shows the colour of the eclipsed moon, but also some of the stars surrounding the moon. A fuller frame moon is in the extras.
Thanks for the recent comments, I will try and catch up over the coming days.
