Tade Carthy's Cottage

This was one of a number of ruined cottages in a remote area known as the Crimea, it has recently been restored by local families with a newly thatched roof, inside is an oil lamp, the original flagstone floor, an open hearth, the smoke would have gone out through a hole in the roof and a bed platform. It was good to sit by the well outside and reflect on what life must have been like for the families that lived there. The late afternoon light was divine, the sea sparkled do take a look at my extra picture.
