On wings

Rain (again) is preventing outdoor blips of any quality/meaning, so I've taken the lazy way out and blipped images of four paintings I've done in the past year of aircraft from the RAF Memorial Flight.

The Spitfire top left flew and fought in the Battle of Britain, although it has been extensively rebuilt since. The other Spitfire top right is shown in its D-Day colours.

The Lancaster is, I believe, the only one in the world still being flown.

The Hurricane bottom right was originally built in Canada and flown during WW2 by the Royal Canadian Airforce as a "Hurribomber".

All of these were painted from original photographs I took at the Royal International Air Tattoo, Fairford, Gloucestershre.
